I have noticed that since early April all the blue tits that were feeding from my bird feeder suddingly disappeared. However a increase in the population of blackbirds seemed to have increased.

Is this normal? What is happening?

Don’t know where your bluetits have gone but I had a pair in my box. There were 8 eggs. One by one 6 have died. The mother has managed to take them out of the box. Two remain, fingers crossed these survive. My box has been used by bluetits for the last 6 years with very few losses. Another box has Great tits but sadly no camera in that one. Both parents keep going in and out all day so would assume chicks in there.. My friend a few miles away had 10 bluetit chicks in her box but sadly all have died. Is there a problem this year?

Blue tits have regularly used my nest boxes but this year there were blue tits entering the boxes but none have bred. I have very rare sightings of these birds in my garden this year. I have had blackbirds successfully raising families, one or two of the young are very bold, they come into my conservatory for meal worms and feed at my feet.

The blue tits that were feeding in my garden from my feeder have disappeared in the last week – August. I did notice a line magpie – could this be a factor?

Is this normal. I’m my garden I have to following birds every day. Blue tit, thrush, Robin, black birds, magpies crows sparrow.

Everyday they love the food we put out and always washing themselves in the fish pond.

We had blue tits at the feeders in November/December, but no sign of them now. Why would this be?

We have very very few this spring home March 2018. Usually we have a good healthy clutch but nothing has used our the boxes yet. Very disappointing and rather worrying.

  8. We always had lots of Bluetits, we feed them all winter, and various other birds but we noticed the odd Bluetit would be all puffed up and they had mattery stuff round the eyes and beaks. The nesting boxes, one with a camera, have all being left with nests half built. Such a shame, cause we loved having them around.

I live in south west France and l had lots of blue tits feeding on the fat balls but they have all gone and the common sparrows are all over the feeders ? Do you think they are bullying the blue tits over the food l all so sore a big bird try and attack the blue tits l think it was some type of hawk abaut the same size as a pigeon? I have got bird boxes around the house but only nests left ☹️
