Gem Matrix 5kg Tub

Gem Matrix 5kg Tub — Premium Mineral Grit Supplement for Pigeons

Good health starts from the inside. Gem Matrix is a premium mineral grit supplement blending nine carefully selected mineral grits with brewer's yeast and conditioning oils — working together to support digestion, bone strength, feather condition and overall vitality in pigeons, poultry and other bird species.

The combination of grit particles aids in the mechanical breakdown of food in the digestive system, helping birds absorb maximum nutrition from every feed. Brewer's yeast adds a natural protein and B-vitamin boost to support feather health and condition, while the oils promote a healthy, shiny plumage. Suitable for all lifestages and easy to scatter around the loft or offer free-choice.

FAQ

What is mineral grit and why do pigeons need it?

Pigeons do not have teeth, so they rely on grit particles in their gizzard to mechanically grind and break down food. Without adequate grit, digestion is less efficient and nutrient absorption is reduced. Mineral grit also provides essential calcium, trace elements and minerals that support bone strength, eggshell formation and general health.

What are the 9 grits in Gem Matrix?

Gem Matrix combines a broad spectrum of mineral grits including oyster shell, flint, limestone and other mineral sources — formulated by Bamfords to provide a complete and balanced mineral profile. The full composition is displayed on the product label.

What does brewer's yeast do?

Brewer's yeast is a natural source of B-vitamins and protein. It supports feather health, energy metabolism and general condition — making it a valued addition to any pigeon supplement programme.

Is Gem Matrix suitable for youngsters?

Yes — Gem Matrix is suitable for all lifestages, including youngsters, breeding pairs and racing birds.

How much should I offer?

Birds will naturally self-regulate their grit intake. Offer free-choice by scattering on the loft floor or placing in a dish, and replenish as needed.
