Beyers Energy Oil 400ml — Cold-Pressed Oil Blend for Racing, Moulting & Breeding Pigeons

Energy Oil is a premium cold-pressed blend of six high-quality oils — linseed, cod liver, fish, soya, rapeseed and peanut — enriched with 33% lecithin and vitamin E. Rich in the essential fatty acids linoleic and linolenic acid, it provides a concentrated energy source for flight, supports soft feather formation during moulting, and enhances breeding performance through its antioxidant and hormonal benefits.

Key Benefits

  • Six cold-pressed oils — linseed, cod liver, fish, soya, rapeseed & peanut, tailored to pigeon needs
  • Rich in essential fatty acids — linoleic & linolenic acid for energy and cell health
  • 33% lecithin — enables faster conversion of blood fats into energy; rich in choline to help prevent fatty liver
  • Vitamin E — fat-soluble antioxidant protecting cells, tissues and organs from free radicals
  • Vitamin E also increases sex drive, improving breeding results
  • Supports soft feather formation during the moulting season
  • Ideal carrier oil for mixing powdered supplements into feed

How to Use

Add 15ml to 1kg of feed. During racing and moulting season, use 1–2 days per week — for racing, preferably 1–2 days before basketing. During breeding season, use 3+ times per week from 14 days before pairing until after laying.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why cold-pressed?
Cold pressing preserves the natural fatty acid profile and fat-soluble nutrients of each oil. Heat processing can degrade essential fatty acids and reduce nutritional value.

What does lecithin do at 33%?
At this concentration, lecithin acts as a powerful emulsifier — helping fats in the blood be converted to energy more rapidly. Its choline content also supports liver health, preventing fat accumulation.

Why use it before basketing?
Applying Energy Oil 1–2 days before basketing allows the fatty acids to be absorbed and available as a fuel reserve during the race, supporting sustained energy output over long distances.

How does vitamin E improve breeding results?
Vitamin E is a well-established antioxidant that also plays a role in reproductive health — it supports sperm quality and increases libido, which can improve pairing success and clutch fertility.

Can I use it to apply powdered supplements?
Yes — Energy Oil is the recommended carrier for Bioflorum and other Beyers powders. Moisten the feed with the oil first so powders adhere evenly to the grain.
