Supa Multi-Purpose Wild Bird Nest Box — Hole-Fronted or Open-Fronted Nest Box for Garden Birds
The Supa Multi-Purpose Nest Box is suitable for many species of wild birds likely to nest in your garden. Use in its original hole-fronted form, or remove the two front panel screws to convert it to an open-fronted nest box — attracting a different range of species. A small gap in the base allows birds to clean the box out easily. Dimensions: approx 16.5cm (L) x 18cm (W) x 26cm (H).
Key Features

Siting Your Nest Box
- Mount on a wall, shed, tree or fence at 1–5m from the ground
- Angle slightly downward to prevent rain entering
- Face between north and east — away from direct sunlight and prevailing wind
- Away from bird feeders to avoid disturbance to nesting pairs
- Away from easy predator access (cats, squirrels)
- A reasonable distance from other nest boxes to prevent territorial disputes
Maintenance
Clean out annually in autumn after the breeding season (1 February–31 August). Wear disposable gloves and a dust mask when cleaning — old nest material may contain dust, fungi or parasites. It is illegal to disturb nesting birds between 1 February and 31 August.
