Kibbled / Cut / Split Maize 20kg — High-Energy Chopped Maize for Wild Birds, Chickens & Poultry

Kibbled maize (also known as cut or split maize) is chopped corn cob maize — a palatable, highly digestible source of energy containing high levels of starch and carbohydrates. The small kibbled size makes it far more accessible to wild birds than flaked or whole maize, and because of its chopped nature it will not germinate in your garden. An ideal food source year-round, and particularly valuable during the colder months and the busy breeding season. Free P&P.

Key Benefits

  • Highly digestible energy source — high in starch and carbohydrates
  • Kibbled (chopped) size — more accessible to wild birds than whole or flaked maize
  • Will not germinate in your garden
  • Ideal for cold weather feeding — provides energy to maintain body temperature
  • Valuable during the breeding season when birds need extra energy
  • Suitable for year-round feeding
  • Loved by chickens as a daily treat or mixed with their main ration
  • 20kg bag — free P&P

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between kibbled, flaked and whole maize?
Whole maize is the complete corn kernel — too large for most small birds to eat. Flaked maize is whole maize that has been steam-rolled flat. Kibbled maize is chopped into small pieces, making it the most accessible size for the widest range of birds. Kibbled maize is also less likely to germinate than whole maize.

Can I feed kibbled maize to ducks and geese?
Yes — kibbled maize is readily eaten by ducks, geese and other waterfowl and makes an excellent energy supplement alongside a complete waterfowl ration.
