How to Use

Fill with quality whole peanuts and hang from a branch, feeding station or hook. Use the quick-release base to remove the mesh tube for cleaning. Clean regularly with a mild disinfectant and allow to dry fully before refilling. Always use aflatoxin-tested peanuts suitable for wild birds. During the breeding season (April–August), use peanut granules or crushed peanuts rather than whole peanuts to protect nestlings from choking.

Frequently Asked Questions

What birds will this attract?
Peanut feeders are particularly popular with blue tit, great tit, coal tit, nuthatch, great spotted woodpecker, house sparrow and starling.

Why should I use peanut granules during the breeding season?
During the breeding season (April–August), parent birds may carry whole peanuts back to feed their chicks. Whole peanuts can be a choking hazard for nestlings. Using peanut granules or crushed peanuts during this period removes that risk.

Is this suitable for year-round use?
Yes — the durable metal construction makes this feeder suitable for year-round outdoor use in all weather conditions.

Is this part of a matching range?
Yes — this feeder is part of the Peckish Secret Garden range, which includes matching seed, nyjer, squirrel proof and energy ball feeders in the same decorative leaf design.
