Why Choose Prestige Amazon Parrot Loro Parque?

Versele-Laga Prestige Loro Parque is the premium seed mix range developed in close partnership with Loro Parque’s scientific team. The inclusion of VAM pellets directly addresses the key nutritional gaps in seed-only diets, ensuring Amazon parrots receive a complete nutritional profile alongside their natural seed preferences. Amazon parrots are naturally prone to obesity on high-fat diets — the Loro Parque formulation takes this into account, providing a balanced composition that supports healthy weight management alongside optimal feather and organ health.

Frequently Asked Questions

What species is this suitable for?
Prestige Amazon Parrot Loro Parque is suitable for all Amazon parrot species including Blue-fronted Amazons, Yellow-naped Amazons, Orange-winged Amazons, Double Yellow-headed Amazons, Mealy Amazons and similar species.

What are VAM pellets?
VAM pellets are extruded supplement pellets containing vitamins, amino acids and minerals. Blended into the seed mix, they compensate for the nutritional shortfalls of a seed-only diet, ensuring birds receive essential micronutrients that seeds alone cannot provide.

Why are Amazon parrots prone to obesity?
Amazon parrots have a naturally lower metabolic rate than many other parrot species and are prone to weight gain on high-fat seed diets. The Loro Parque formulation balances the fat content and seed variety to support healthy weight management alongside proper nutrition.

How should I store this feed?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the bag sealed or decant into an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent the pellets from absorbing moisture.
